Spielmotor is the contemporary theatre festival platform for the City of Munich.
With more than 40 years of experience in hand, we host the Munich International Dance Festival, the Munich Biennale and the Munich Spielart Festival and in doing so, regularly welcome artists from across the globe. This is made possible by our valued collaboration with the Cultural Affairs Department of the state capital, alongside what is perhaps Germany’s longest-standing public private partnership – our collaboration with the BMW Group which has been in existence since 1979.
The SPIELART Festival Munich is organised by Spielmotor.
Full-time (40 hours) Marketing/Ticketing Officer (m/f/x), fixed-term contract for two years
It was a particular honour for us to present the 20th Munich Biennale in our new role as organiser.
Our festivals identify and nurture the artistic talents of tomorrow. We support innovative projects, facilitate new kinds of production and raise the profile of contemporary artistic practices – rooted in the local community and connected to an international network.
Our festivals open up access to new forms of art and culture for citizens of the city. We create spaces where everyone can come together – regardless of background, age or living situation – and where people are invited to discover new points of view. Spielmotor stands for openness, participation and cultural diversity within the urban environment.
As an experienced festival platform, we design, initiate and deliver cultural events at the highest possible niveau. The Munich-based festivals - Biennale, DANCE and SPIELART – are at the core of our work and we are continually developing them.
We pull together extensive expertise in organisation, production and international collaboration, and implement projects collaboratively, independently and with an eye to the future. Our aim is to promote sustainable art and culture and make them accessible to all.
